This update resets the link between Android Auto and the head unit so just FYI you need to setup again. I checked online for my MY18 model, and is showing that the latest update is the one released in December 2019, Rel_A1.19.45.20 AUS. Upload to car was the same as the previous updates and is working fine. My wife and I recently decided to update the map on our 2 year old Subaru Outback. Paying $169 per update, several times a year, for map updates that are months/years out of date on the day they are installed sounds, frankly, nuts. My vehicle is a Subaru Impreza 1987 model, with built-in GPS (as part of the so-called Starlight infotainment system). My daughter has moved around Sydney a number of times into new un-mapped areas and, at best, it's been a minor inconvenience. I attempted to update to Software Version Rel_A2.21.19.20 with the Oceania_1066_7705_10767 map version on my MY18 Outback following the instructions to the letter. when I serviced my car elsewhere every 6 months they sneakily updated my sat nav without updating anything. Average repair cost is $3,400 at 22,250 miles. At my 6 month / 12,500 km service, when I picked up the car, I asked about the map update. I then tried the dealer, who showed zero interest in the matter. Strangely, Google does the same thing even though it uses different maps. There needs to be some way to integrate the GPS yet keep it as a separate app that can be updated and maintained by the app provider.
